Job summary

PacBio is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to own the strategy and roadmap for emerging life sciences data products. You will understand customer goals and translate them into product priorities, working with scientific, technical, and commercial teams to deliver value.

You will define experiences for discovering, accessing, and analyzing data, shape data-use rights and export options, and define pricing models.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, computer science, or related field.
7+ years of product management or related leadership experience.
Experience in genomics or life sciences data.
Familiarity with cloud data platforms, governance, privacy, and data-use controls.
Experience developing pricing, business cases, forecasts, or product economics.
Ability to influence diverse stakeholders without direct authority.

Responsibilities

Define vision, target customers, positioning, and roadmap based on needs and business objectives.
Lead customer conversations, discovery, pilots, and feedback sessions.
Translate needs into requirements, target product profiles, launch criteria, and success metrics.
Partner with sequencing, laboratory operations, bioinformatics, data, cloud, and software teams.
Define data-use rights, export and sharing capabilities, retention, and restrictions.
Partner with Business Development to evaluate data partners and value propositions.
Define pricing and packaging models, including value attribution to PacBio and data partners.
Guide products from concept through launch and improvement.
Clearly communicate priorities, decisions, progress, risks, and commercial implications.
