Bain & Company in Boston seeks a Senior Data Product Manager to own a portfolio of knowledge and research data products. You will partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define needs, design solutions, and drive adoption across the lifecycle.

You will guide data architecture, models, and semantic layers while ensuring governance, quality, and value. The role emphasizes collaboration across practices and leadership teams in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, CS, Engineering, or related field with 7+ years progressive experience.
• 7+ years data product management, product ownership, analytics, BI, data strategy, or data management.
• Experience owning data products from discovery through adoption and improvement.
• Experience with agile/Scrum, backlogs, requirements, and delivery across multiple workstreams.
• Strong data modeling, pipelines, quality, metadata, lineage, governance, BI concepts.
• Ability to bridge technical and business communication and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience shaping requirements amid ambiguity and competing priorities.
• High performance standards from academic or professional experience.

Responsabilités

• Own portfolio of data products end to end, including reliability and adoption.
• Lead data product initiatives from problem definition through delivery and launch.
• Shape roadmap and prioritize based on business value, data quality, and risk.
• Link data products to high-value use cases across the case lifecycle.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, architecture, AI, and platform teams.
• Shape architecture, data models, metrics, and reporting requirements.
• Draft requirements with stakeholders to guide build and acceptance.
• Lead discovery sessions, reviews, and stakeholder decision forums.
• Oversee data quality, lineage, freshness, and accessibility.
• Coordinate governance with Legal, Risk, Security, Privacy teams.
• Drive data literacy and adoption through training and feedback.
• Maintain prioritized backlog aligned with strategy and roadmap.
• Validate work meets agreed requirements and readiness for delivery.
• Lead team meetings, manage dependencies and risks.
