Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to advance enterprise data protection, privacy-by-design principles, and regulatory compliance across the organization while safeguarding customer, patient, and colleague data.

You will partner with cybersecurity, engineering, data, legal and compliance teams to design and deploy Privacy Enhancing Technologies, conduct privacy risk assessments, threat modeling, and governance initiatives to strengthen the company’s privacy posture and enable

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Privacy Engineering, Security Engineering, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines with GDPR/CCPA/HIPAA experience.
• 5+ years designing and implementing enterprise data protection capabilities (encryption, tokenization, DLP, data classification).
• 5+ years programming in Python, Java, Go, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy and implementation of enterprise data protection and privacy engineering across data environments.
• Design, deploy, and optimize Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) and related controls.
• Partner with engineering, product, legal, compliance, and cybersecurity to embed privacy-by-design and translate requirements into architectures and governance.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, privacy impact assessments, threat modeling, and control evaluations for regulatory obligations.
• Drive governance, privacy metrics, automation, analytics, and adoption of emerging privacy technologies.
