Job summary

Publicis Sapient is seeking a Senior Associate Data Platform Support Engineer to maintain and enhance enterprise data platforms on AWS. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize batch and real-time data processing, collaborating with SRE, Infra, and Dev teams to ensure high availability and reliability.

You will work with Spark on EMR, Kafka, NiFi, and Kubernetes (EKS), performing RCA, supporting deployments, and building dashboards for health and performance insights.

Qualifications

• 6+ years IT experience.
• 4+ years in Data Engineering/Big Data.
• Strong Spark development in Scala/Python.
• Experience on Kubernetes/EKS.
• Hands-on Kafka streaming architecture.
• ETL/data ingestion with Apache NiFi.
• Distributed systems, Hadoop ecosystem, data lake.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 production support for enterprise data platforms on AWS.
• Monitor Big Data apps (Spark, Kafka, NiFi, EKS, S3) and troubleshoot incidents.
• Perform RCA and implement permanent fixes with engineering teams.
• Monitor batch/streaming pipelines and ensure timely completion of workflows.
• Support Kubernetes workloads and EMR cluster health; optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards (Dynatrace, CloudWatch).
