Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Solutions Engineer who will independently lead technical engagements, owning discovery, solution design, and platform demonstrations.

You will build proofs-of-concept and live demos to drive adoption, while managing frontline technical relationships with customer engineers and data teams. You bring 4+ years in data engineering or technical pre-sales, strong Python and SQL, hands-on cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), and the ability to communicate complex architectures

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering, solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or hands-on consulting.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with production-quality code and live coding experience as part of interviews.
• Hands-on experience designing data solutions on at least one public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of distributed data systems (Spark, Delta Lake, Hadoop, Kafka, Flink).
• Experience leading technical customer conversations (discovery, architecture reviews).
• Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead technical discovery and solution design for customer workloads across data engineering, analytics, and ML.
• Build and deliver proofs-of-concept and live demos to drive technical wins on the Databricks Platform.
• Own frontline technical relationships with customer engineers and data teams.
• Develop account-level technical strategies in partnership with Account Executive to grow platform usage.
• Navigate competitive landscapes by articulating Databricks differentiation through demos.
• Contribute reusable technical assets (notebooks, accelerators, references) to the SA community.
