Job summary

Digitalt3 is seeking an experienced Product Owner for a 100% remote role, based in the United States. The role focuses on owning a backlog across ingestion, Bronze/Silver/Gold build, and data quality, while guiding a multi-pod data modernization effort.

You will translate business outcomes into epics and acceptance criteria, set clear priorities, and collaborate with engineers and QA to ensure successful delivery across Bronze/Silver/Gold stages and related data-conversion activities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a product owner or equivalent.
• Strong written specification skills with clear acceptance criteria.
• Experience migrating or modernizing a legacy data warehouse at scale.
• Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and data quality.
• Comfortable saying no to scope and guiding engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own a single prioritized backlog spanning ingestion, Bronze/Silver/Gold build, stored-procedure conversion, semantic work, and data quality.
• Translate business outcomes into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria that engineers can build against and QA can test against.
• Set and defend priority order by value, dependency and risk; make trade-offs explicit.
• Maintain a rolling 2-3 sprint ready backlog per pod; accept or reject work against acceptance criteria.
• Define validation criteria with LoBs so nothing surfaces at UAT.
• Lead bottom-up, usage-based validation with key lines of business.
