Job summary

The Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) is seeking a Senior Technical Product Owner, Data to lead database-focused initiatives across SQL Server systems and cloud-native applications. You will own the data platform backlog, define a clear vision, and align with organizational strategy while guiding data engineering and analytics teams.

This highly technical role requires hands-on database experience, strong agile leadership, and the ability to translate complex technical work into business value

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Product Owner/TPM roles with data platform focus.
• 2-3 years hands-on database/developer experience.
• Deep MS SQL Server experience in production environments.
• Cloud DB knowledge (Azure SQL, Snowflake, AWS) and hybrid systems.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog for database initiatives.
• Define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap for the data platform.
• Write detailed, technically precise user stories, epics and acceptance criteria.
• Lead architecture reviews, sprint ceremonies and cross-team collaboration.
