Job summary

Targa Resources seeks a hands-on Senior Manager, Data Platform & Engineering to lead the enterprise data foundation, focusing on modern cloud data platforms, Microsoft Fabric and Azure-based environments, and reliable production operations.

You will drive the long-term platform and engineering roadmap, deliver stability and scalability, and oversee data ingestion, API access, and secure data sharing across the organization—enabling analytics, AI, and external partnerships.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive technology experience with 8+ years leading enterprise data-platform, data-engineering, cloud, or related capabilities
• 5+ years of people leadership and building high-performing engineering teams
• Experience leading modern cloud data architectures (Microsoft Fabric, Azure lakehouse/warehouse, Databricks, Snowflake)

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead data platform & engineering capability, including organization design, standards, DataOps, and platform operations
• Define and execute enterprise data-platform roadmap across Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services
• Own data acquisition capabilities: batch ETL/ELT, CDC, APIs, event streaming, near-real-time ingestion
• Lead platform product-management disciplines: service catalogs, onboarding, adoption, governance, and value realization
• Define enterprise patterns for data access, sharing, and reusable consumption endpoints
• Ensure security, quality, and observability across data platforms and AI-ready data foundations
• Oversee DataOps, production platform operations, capacity management, and FinOps
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Applications, OT, and vendors to align roadmaps
