Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design, build, and support scalable data solutions that empower faster, more reliable decision-making across engineering, test lab, and product development. You will transform raw data into analytics-ready data products through modern data pipelines and cloud platforms.

You will mentor teammates, enforce data governance, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into robust data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related technical field.
• 5+ years of data engineering or related roles.
• Strong SQL and at least one language: Python, C#, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data warehouses/lakes, and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Knowledge of data modeling, APIs, and scalable architecture.
• Experience with Spark, Databricks, Airflow, dbt, Fabric, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models.
• Create ETL/ELT processes to ingest and deliver data to analytics environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, analytics, and business stakeholders.
• Establish data quality checks and monitoring.
• Develop data warehouses and cloud-based platforms for performance.
• Create reusable data assets and documentation for self-service reporting.
• Mentor team members on data engineering standards and governance.
• Ensure data security and compliant architecture.
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Translate business needs into technical data solutions.
