Job summary

BBMK Technologies DBA NikoHealth is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer in a remote role based in the United States. You will own data ingress, processing, and movement across databases, enabling faster onboarding and reliable migrations.

You will build tested, repeatable pipelines with CI, define import contracts, and measure onboarding time-to-live for different customer sizes. You’ll consolidate two engines (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and ensure robust backup/restore across the fleet.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, data platform, or related role.
• Strong SQL performance tuning on PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Built and operated production ingestion pipelines with idempotent design.
• Experience migrating customer data between systems with messy sources.
• Proficiency in Python and C# for transforms.
• Daily use of AI coding agents with tests and harness.

Responsibilities

• Get the migration pipeline into version control and CI, with a dry-run mode and safe re-runs.
• Publish the import contract for onboarding teams and customers.
• Measure onboarding time-to-live for enterprise and small business separately.
• Own database configuration, backup, and restore across the fleet and verify restores.
• Plan consolidation of two database engines (MySQL and PostgreSQL) and execute the scope.
