Job summary

the company is seeking a Platform & Data Owner to take end-to-end ownership of our data pipelines in Paris. You will shape architecture for Kafka, batch DAGs, and serving paths into ClickHouse Cloud, working with data, ML and product teams to balance performance and cost.

You will drive end-to-end initiatives, establish scalable CI/CD, and build self-serve infrastructure that teams adopt. This is a hybrid Paris‑based role with relocation support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating distributed, data‑intensive systems in production.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Rust with real testing and code review discipline.
• Production experience with Kafka, Spark, Iceberg or object storage, ClickHouse or similar analytics.
• Experience owning services from code to production, including AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Track record of measurably improving performance or cost on specific systems and ability to explain why.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate real-time event processing on Kafka at production scale.
• Build and run batch orchestration pipelines on Dagster.
• Own the serving path into ClickHouse Cloud from ingestion through query.
• Drive projects end-to-end from stakeholder requirements through post-launch iteration.
• Set architecture decisions on partitioning, materialization, retention, and compute sizing.
• Build orchestration patterns and testing frameworks the team relies on.
• Establish CI/CD and data contracts to reduce manual review overhead.
• Turn recurring fixes into reusable building blocks.
• Design self-serve infrastructure adopted by teams.
