Job summary

Odaseva, a SaaS company focusing on secure data management for Salesforce environments, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Paris R&D team. You will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for large-scale data lake ingestion using Databricks, Snowflake, Delta Lake, and cloud services.

Based in Paris with a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days remote), you will collaborate with data engineering, security, and governance teams to deliver robust data platforms,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or backend data platforms with at least 3 years building big data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience handling large volumes of data (hundreds of TB).
• Deep knowledge of a major data lake platform (Databricks, Snowflake, or Redshift).
• Strong Spark expertise and lakehouse formats (Delta Lake or Iceberg).
• Proficient in Python/Java, SQL, and cloud infra (AWS) with IaC/observability basics.
• Knowledge of cost management, security, governance, and data modeling.
• Engineering degree or MSc in CS/DS/Applied Math.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development & Operations: Design, build, and monitor Spark pipelines for large-volume data lake ingestion.
• Platform & Cost Optimization: Improve performance, reliability, and cost of pipelines and infra.
• Databricks, Snowflake & Cloud Engineering: Leverage Databricks, Snowflake, or Redshift with AWS services for scalable data engineering.
• Lakehouse Architecture: Manage Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg tables.
• Secure Data Management: Apply security-by-design, governance, and compliance across storage, compute, and sharing.
