Pax8, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer II (Data Platforms) to set technical direction for large-scale data initiatives in a remote United States role. You will define data architecture, drive reliability, and mentor engineers across teams.

You will build scalable data platforms, modernize infrastructure, and advance AI-assisted engineering while partnering with product and data practitioners. The role offers growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Formación

• Extensive expertise building and operating modern data platforms using Python, SQL, and cloud-native technologies.
• Deep understanding of distributed data processing, orchestration frameworks, streaming architectures, and data platform operations.
• Proven ability to lead multi-team technical initiatives with organizational impact.
• Experience defining architectural patterns, engineering standards, and platform best practices.
• Strong systems-thinking mindset and root-cause problem solving.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions with stakeholders.
• Advanced understanding of AI capabilities and responsible implementation in engineering workflows.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills to influence direction.
