Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Experience designing and operating data systems or pipelines in production
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java for backend services
• Experience with data infra patterns including scale-out, caching, columnar storage
• Hands-on with SQL, Airflow, Spark, Kafka in production
• Experience with data security/observability, cataloging, lineage, quality monitoring

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, and operation of foundational data services (warehouses, lakes, orchestration, batch/streaming)
• Build and maintain data integration and processing SDKs used internally
• Deliver self-service apps to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot data pipelines
• Architect end-to-end data security, access controls, lineage, and quality monitoring
• Collaborate with analysts, ML engineers, and security/compliance teams to create reusable data platform patterns
