Job summary

Wealth.com in New York City offers a Senior Data Engineer role focused on owning the data platform end-to-end. You will design and operate pipelines, Airflow environments, dbt projects, and the Redshift warehouse, ensuring data reliability and accessibility for internal stakeholders.

You'll influence data architecture decisions, collaborate with Platform engineers, and translate business questions into scalable data solutions that guide product and strategy decisions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data or analytics engineering, with scale experience.
• Strong SQL and Python, with data processing and pipeline work.
• Hands-on with dbt and orchestrating production pipelines (Airflow or similar).
• Working knowledge of AWS and a cloud data warehouse (Redshift).
• Good instincts for warehouse and system design; stakeholder to code transformations.
• Nice to have: experience moving pipelines onto Airflow; fintech/regulated environments; AI/ML data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own the data platform end to end, including pipelines, Airflow, dbt, and Redshift.
• Maintain reliability and trust in the data, diagnosing issues and preventing recurrences.
• Ingest, clean, model, and make data easy for others to use.
• Contribute to data architecture decisions for scalability and cost.
• Collaborate with Platform engineers to align data with changing product models.
