Welltower Inc. in New York is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure supporting analytics and BI initiatives.

You will lead data engineering projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and establish best practices for data management. The role requires strong experience with cloud-based data platforms, Snowflake, Airflow, dbt-core, and a focus on data quality, governance, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with cloud-based data infrastructure
• Experience with CI/CD for data infra and data pipelines
• Knowledge of data modeling, database design, and optimization
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ELT data pipelines
• Architect data models in Snowflake for performance and accessibility
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure
• Implement data orchestration workflows (Airflow)
• Establish data quality frameworks and automated testing
• Deploy CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders
• Create comprehensive data process and infrastructure documentation
• Implement data governance and regulatory compliance practices
• Identify and resolve data-related bottlenecks
