Job summary

Intellibee in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and operate scalable data pipelines using Airflow, dbt, and containerized platforms. The role focuses on financial and accounting data workloads with strong emphasis on performance and reliability.

You will own end-to-end data modeling, orchestration, and deployment on Kubernetes/OpenShift, collaborating with data architects and platform engineers to ensure high availability and governance compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise data engineering and data pipelines.
• Hands-on Airflow DAG development and dbt modeling experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Airflow DAGs for batch and event pipelines.
• Optimize DAG performance, retries, SLA monitoring, and alerts.
• Lead dbt Core implementation and CI/CD integration.
• Manage data workloads on Kubernetes/OpenShift with autoscaling.
• Ensure observability and reliability of data pipelines.
