Job summary

A data solutions company is seeking an AWS Data Engineer to design and optimize enterprise data architecture. The role requires 3-5 years of experience in production-level data pipeline development, DBT, and Apache Airflow, alongside strong SQL and data modeling skills. This position is based in NYC with a 6-month contract-to-hire arrangement. Remote work is not available; candidates must be local to New York.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience with production level data pipeline development, preferably within AWS.
• 3-5 years experience in DBT development.
• 3-5 years experience with Apache Airflow.
• Experience with AWS Athena, Glue, DynamoDB, Redshift.
• Expertise in data modeling, ELT, SQL coding.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize components of enterprise data architecture.
• Partner with business stakeholders to define data requirements.
• Develop and implement data models.
• Design, develop, and maintain ELT for data models.
• Establish clean, robust master data.
• Evaluate and inform technology selection for data solutions.
• Triage and resolve issues across data solutions.
