Job summary

Blue Yonder seeks a Principal Data Platform Engineer to own the platforms that our data and AI capabilities run on, including Power BI, AtScale, and Databricks. This senior IC role combines hands-on platform administration with architectural judgment to guide enterprise-scale decisions.

You will manage Databricks workspaces, Unity Catalog, and security; oversee Power BI tenancy, gateways, and pipelines; and drive governance, cost controls, and security across the data platform stack.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data platform engineering or analytics engineering.
• 5+ years administering enterprise cloud data platforms (Databricks, Azure).
• 5+ years administering enterprise analytics platforms (Power BI).
• Ownership of production data platforms serving a large, distributed user base.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day administration and health of the data/AI platform estate (Power BI, AtScale, Databricks).
• Administer Databricks workspaces, Unity Catalog, and workspace security.
• Manage Power BI tenant settings, data gateways, and deployment pipelines.
• Administer AtScale semantic models and environment management.
• Define and run upgrade/patch/release processes without disrupting users.
• Deliver platform monitoring, cost controls, and governance.
