Job summary

Jefferson Health in the United States is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise data ecosystems. You will define data management strategies, standards, and ensure data integrity and security across the organization.

You will oversee modernization efforts, mentor teams, and translate complex business needs into scalable data architectures using Microsoft Fabric components such as OneLake, Data Factory, Power BI, and Synapse.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, CS, finance, information systems or related field.
• 7 years proven experience in data architecture or solution design with DAX, SQL and Python or Spark.
• Ability to translate complex business processes and rules into data architecture concepts.
• Advanced knowledge of BI applications and dimensional modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL, ETL design, extractions, and data integration.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
• Understanding CI/CD and DevOps practices for data solutions.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable and secure data solutions using Microsoft Fabric components (OneLake, Data Factory, Power BI, Synapse).
• Develop and maintain robust data models, pipelines, and semantic layers to support analytics and reporting.
• Lead data platform modernization initiatives, including migration to Fabric.
• Collaborate with business analysts and data engineers to translate business needs into data architecture blueprints.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, quality, and security standards across projects.
• Conduct performance tuning and cost optimization of data workflows and reporting assets.
• Provide technical mentorship to architects and engineers; contribute to architectural reviews and standards.
