Job summary

Happen Bank is seeking a senior data/AI platform architect to define and govern the reference architecture for its modern data and AI platform. You will work across CIO and CPTO teams to design resilient patterns and production-grade systems, partnering with Data & AI Platform Engineering to translate designs into scalable implementations.

You will drive governance, set standards for data modeling and security, and lead evaluations of emerging technologies including GenAI.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or platform engineering.
• Designed and delivered modern, cloud-based data platforms at scale and understood trade-offs.
• Acts as a technical authority across teams with governance and patterns for production systems.
• Designs for production including failover, scalability, security, and operational burden.
• Experience applying AI to platform architecture, with responsible deployment considerations.
• Collaborates across infrastructure, security, DevOps, and governance teams.
• Communicates architecture decisions in business terms to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain reference architecture for the data and AI platform across domains.
• Design patterns for data pipelines, storage, compute, and integration balancing performance and cost.
• Govern technology choices for the data platform across multiple architecture teams.
• Develop and enforce platform adoption standards including data modeling and security guardrails.
• Lead proofs of concept and technical evaluations for emerging technologies including GenAI.
• Drive governance to align with enterprise strategy and regulatory requirements.
• Identify AI opportunities to optimize architecture workflows and automation.
