Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, enterprise-grade data and AI solutions. You will collaborate with the StArI team to shape target architectures using Spark, Hadoop, cloud-native services, and GenAI capabilities.

You will partner with business and engineering to craft architecture runway, ensure security-by-design, and deliver high-performance data pipelines while mentoring teams and driving architectural consistency across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Big Data & ETL: Spark/Hadoop, SQL, Airflow/ADF/Glue.
• Cloud: AWS/Azure architecture, serverless & containerized services, IaC.
• AI/GenAI: LLM integration, RAG pipelines, model optimization, MLOps.
• Architecture: PoV creation, PoC execution, security by design.
• Data Products: semantic layers, metadata governance.
• Platform Engineering: reusable components, observability, cost optimization.
• Collaboration: cross-functional leadership and stakeholder demos.

Responsibilities

• Consults with business and operations to identify challenges and align with architectural vision.
• Plans and prioritizes architecture backlog with product management.
• Performs design and code reviews to meet non-functional requirements.
• Leads rapid shaping of high-level architecture with evolving requirements.
• Educates team on technology practices and best practices.
• Clarifies architecture and assists with system design for development teams.
• Uses templates to create architectural designs and improves templates.
• Defines solution vision aligned to Analytics and Operations.
• Creates robust data pipelines using Spark/Hadoop, ETL tools, and cloud services.
• Designs and implements AI/GenAI solutions with LLMs and RAG pipelines.
