Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Solution Engineer to lead the growth of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform across customer engagements. You will design architectures, guide implementations, and collaborate with sales, product, and post-sales teams to deliver value.

You will travel to customers in your region, work with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP), and develop references architectures and open-source integrations with Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Koalas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing distributed data systems and cloud integrations.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R with debugging ability.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can help solve their business problems.
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture, implement proofs of concept for strategic customer projects, data science and ML projects, and validate integrations with cloud services and other 3rd party applications.
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications for customers.
• Become an expert in Databricks open-source projects across developer communities via meetups, conferences, and webinars.
