Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Sr Manager IC to own and operate the merchant and advertiser data marts, powering Retail Media and analytics. You will define standards, guide migration to Iceberg, and implement access policy with auditable logs. This is an IC role with production ownership and on-call responsibilities.

Expect to ship multiple net-new systems within six months, collaborate with Sales, Analytics and BizOps, and drive GDPR/CCPA governance across the platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years engineering experience with data platforms
• 5+ years building lakehouse infrastructure
• Experience with data governance in regulated environments
• Experience leading migrations from Hive to Iceberg at scale
• Industry experience in financial services, healthcare, or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Write migration code and dbt models
• Develop catalog lineage and PII-classification/audit
• Code access enforcement via Trino + CloudSentry
• Lead weekly Cadences with Sales/BizOps/Analytics
• Maintain-on-call for marts in production
