Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Sr Manager IC for Merchant & Advertiser Data Marts — Analytics Team. You will own the platform substrate behind Capital One Shopping’s data marts, setting reference architecture, catalog, and access policies.

In the first six months, you will ship three net-new systems and operate these marts in production. The role emphasizes hands-on migration work, dbt modeling, and implementing access enforcement with Trino + CloudSentry.

Qualifications

• Requires cross-functional collaboration across Sales, BizOps, Analytics and platform teams.
• Experience leading large-scale lakehouse/data-mabric migrations (Hive→Iceberg).
• Experience in regulated data environments with data governance, lineage, and audit trails.

Responsibilities

• Write migration code and dbt models for Hive→Iceberg migration and parity tests.
• Develop and enforce a marts-first access policy with policy-as-code using Trino + CloudSentry.
• Own production systems, provide on-call rotation and production support for existing and future marts.
