The Athletic Media Company is seeking a Senior Manager, Data to lead and scale our Growth Product Insights practice. Following our migration to a modern data warehouse, you will act as a pivotal player‑coach—bringing deep analytical rigor, defining key performance indicators, and guiding a growing team of data analysts.

You will lead by example, building analytical models yourself while developing the talent around you to turn complex subscriber and product data into high‑leverage business

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data analytics, product analytics, or applied quantitative roles delivering reporting, analysis, and strategic insight.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of Data Analysts and mentor, evaluating approaches on high‑stakes projects.
• Embed with Product, Design, and Growth to influence roadmap strategy and set learning objectives.
• Oversee product experimentation (A/B testing) and causal inference to define success metrics.
• Establish standardized, trusted metric definitions and collaborate with data engineering on pipelines.
