Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Analysis - Data Management to lead the Managing Data Steward team for Small Business Bank. You will drive data source/tool innovations, create data products, and govern data assets while shaping data management strategy and roadmaps for a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

You will oversee a high-performing team, collaborate with engineering and enterprise functions, and ensure strong reporting and visualization to partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field plus 7 years of data analytics experience, or Master’s with 5+ years and degree by start date.
• At least 5 years of professional data analysis experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with open source data technologies.
• At least 2 years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Driving data source and tool innovations based on stakeholder data needs, including adoption of Big Data technologies and development of a program to train and enhance associate skill-sets.
• Creating leading-edge data products that uncover opportunities for improvement.
• Leading governance of our data assets, including development of a governance plan and structure.
• Develop and execute on data management strategy.
• Define and monitor KRI’s and elevate areas of non-compliance as appropriate.
• Oversee the design and execution of data controls.
• Oversee data quality monitoring and data issue management practices.
• Monitor the health of data catalog metadata.
• Manage team of high performing data professionals.
• Reporting on data analysis activities to partner groups, incorporating novel reporting and data visualization techniques.
