Job summary

Capital One seeks a Senior Data Analysis Manager to partner across the company, validating analytical tools and influencing business strategies. You will lead a network of Data Analysts, Quants, and Data Scientists on challenging projects with a focus on the bottom line and work/life balance.

The ideal candidate brings strong problem solving, communication, leadership, and experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment. Travel and multiple projects are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field with 5+ years of data analytics experience.
• At least 5 years leading and developing with open source data technologies.
• At least 2 years of experience managing people.

Responsibilities

• Refining a new enterprise-wide analytical tools validation framework.
• Planning and executing validation projects.
• Assessing quality and risk of analytical tool methodologies across Capital One.
• Understanding technical issues in analytical tools and assessing risks and opportunities.
• Researching and prototyping industry best practices for analytical tools.
• Communicating results clearly via validation reports and presentations.
• Leveraging resources to develop solutions to business problems.
• Coaching and mentoring junior staff.
