Job summary

Egen is seeking a senior data platform architect to lead end-to-end data lakehouse designs on GCP, collaborating closely with clients to translate goals into scalable architectures. You will guide real-time and batch pipelines, establish governance and security standards, and mentor engineers across delivery teams.

You will work with Dataplex, BigQuery, and Delta Lake, balance strategy with hands-on work, and help drive adoption and long-term maintainability in a fast-growing data-driven

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in software/data platform roles.
• Architect data lakehouse platforms with medallion architectures.
• Experience with real-time and batch ingestion patterns.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of scalable Data Lakehouse solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using BigQuery, GCS, BigLake, and Dataplex
• Collaborate with customers to understand goals, data challenges, and requirements; translate them into architectural blueprints and plans
• Design and implement data pipelines supporting real-time and batch ingestion with modern orchestration frameworks
• Establish and enforce best practices for data cataloging, metadata management, lineage, and quality across systems
• Define and implement data security, access control, and governance models in compliance with enterprise standards
• Serve as the technical lead for project teams—mentoring engineers, reviewing solutions, and ensuring architectural consistency
• Balance strategic architecture with hands-on delivery, POCs, and deep dives into pipelines or performance tuning
• Partner with stakeholders and delivery leads to drive solution adoption, scalability, and maintainability
• Represent the company as a trusted technical advisor in client engagements, articulating trade-offs and recommendations
