Job summary

Egen is seeking a Senior Data Platform Architect to design end-to-end Data Lakehouse solutions on Google Cloud Platform and Databricks. You will translate business goals into scalable blueprints, lead engineering teams, and collaborate with customers to implement robust data pipelines and governance.

You will drive real-time and batch data ingestion, establish cataloging and security practices, and mentor engineers to maintain architectural excellence across deliverables.

Qualifications

• 5+ years architecting data platforms on cloud platforms such as GCP and Databricks.
• Experience designing Data Lakehouse architectures with medallion patterns.
• Knowledge of real-time and batch data ingestion and orchestration.
• Experience implementing data governance, security, and cataloging solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to lead mixed engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Be part of end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of scalable Data Lakehouse solutions on GCP and Databricks.
• Collaborate with customers to translate goals into robust blueprints and actionable plans.
• Design and implement data pipelines for real-time and batch ingestion.
• Establish data cataloging, lineage, and quality practices across systems.
• Define data security and governance models in line with standards.
• Lead project teams, mentor engineers, and ensure architectural consistency.
• Balance strategic architecture with hands-on delivery and POCs.
