Job summary

Tyler Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a cloud-focused team building scalable platforms and apps that empower government data flow. You will work across backend and frontend stacks in a distributed system and help ship high-quality customer features.

You'll collaborate with a diverse team, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architecture decisions while working remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience.
• Experience with a statically typed language (Scala, Elixir, Java, Go or C++).
• Significant frontend experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with React/ES2016, Redux, jQuery, Typescript and Ruby on Rails.
• Experience shipping software and owning all aspects of a system lifecycle (design, testing, deployment, metrics, monitoring).
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres) and NoSQL; bonus for Elasticsearch and AWS.
• Comfortable in a heterogeneous environment using Ruby, JavaScript, Java, Scala and other languages.
• Ability to pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship high-quality customer-facing features.
• Maintain and improve a distributed cloud platform running on AWS.
• Provide direct mentorship to junior engineers on the team.
• Collaborate with engineers, management, designers, and product owners to design and architect solutions.
