Tyler Technologies in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build cloud-based data platforms and ecosystems that power government data flow for citizens, businesses, and researchers. You will design scalable services, mentor peers, and contribute across the stack.

The role spans backend, frontend, and platform work, with AWS, distributed systems, and a fast-paced team. This position is remote within the U.S.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a senior full-stack role and proven history of shipping features.
• Experience with at least one statically typed language (e.g., Scala, Elixir, Java, Go, or C++).
• Strong frontend experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with React/ES2016, Redux, jQuery and TypeScript; Ruby on Rails experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL; Elasticsearch and AWS experience are a bonus.
• Ability to pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship high-quality customer-facing features.
• Maintain and improve a distributed cloud platform running on AWS.
• Provide direct mentorship to junior engineers on the team.
• Collaborate with engineers, engineering management, designers, and product owners to design and architect solutions.
