Job summary

Tyler Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a team that builds cloud software to accelerate government data access for citizens, developers, businesses and researchers. The role entails working on scalable, distributed systems and collaborating with product and design teams to ship impactful features.

Most of the division's engineers are in the Seattle area, but this position can be done remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a full stack engineer.
• Experience with statically typed languages (Scala, Java, Go, C++).
• Significant frontend experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) including React/Redux.
• Ruby on Rails experience.
• Experience shipping software in ambiguous environments.
• Experience with relational (Postgres) and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship high-quality customer-facing features.
• Maintain distributed cloud platform running on AWS.
• Provide direct mentorship to junior engineers on the team.
• Collaborate with engineers, management, designers, and product owners to design and architect solutions.
