Tyler Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a cloud platform team. The role emphasizes building scalable features, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating across product teams. This position is remote within the United States.

You will work with a mix of languages and technologies, including Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, React, and AWS, contributing to data-driven government-focused solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with scalable, robust, well-tested code.
• 4+ years of experience for a senior level role.
• Experience with statically typed languages such as Scala, Elixir, Java, Go or C++.
• Significant frontend experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with React/ES2016, Redux, jQuery, TypeScript and Ruby on Rails.
• Ability to own all aspects of a system lifecycle from design to monitoring.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL; Elasticsearch and AWS are a bonus.
• Comfort working in a heterogeneous environment touching Ruby and JavaScript, plus other languages.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship high-quality customer-facing features.
• Maintain and improve a distributed cloud platform running on AWS.
• Provide direct mentorship to junior engineers on the team.
• Collaborate with engineers, management, designers, and product owners to design and architect solutions.
