Job summary

Bank of America in Denver is seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst specializing in Data Use Governance to support the Global Information Security Data Governance team.

You will manage Data Use Governance requests from intake through publication, evaluate business use cases, identify sources, determine requirements, coordinate with data providers and consumers, and confirm metadata, lineage, data quality controls, and approvals are complete.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Governance or related discipline with data-use governance experience.
• Experience evaluating business use cases and governance requirements.
• Experience coordinating governance decisions across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage Data Use Governance requests through intake, approvals, publication, and maintenance.
• Evaluate data use requests for governance, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Document business purpose, data sources, users, workflows, and outcomes.
• Review data elements, transformations, delivery methods, and data flows for compliance.
• Coordinate with Data Owners, Custodians, Risk, Security, and Privacy for approvals.
• Resolve incomplete or noncompliant requests while maintaining governance records.
• Support metadata management, data catalogs, lineage, dictionaries, and glossaries.
• Prioritize work across multiple requests based on impact, risk, and dependencies.
• Identify unauthorized data use and drive remediation actions.
• Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and governance process improvements.
