Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst specializing in Data Use Governance to support the Global Information Security Data Governance team. This hands-on role manages requests from intake through publication, evaluating use cases and ensuring metadata, lineage, and security controls are in place.

You will coordinate with data owners, stewards, risk, and technology teams, document requirements, and drive governance decisions across the organization while supporting

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Governance, Data Management, or related discipline.
• 5+ years in Data Use Governance or data-sharing governance.
• Experience evaluating business use cases and governance requirements.
• Experience coordinating governance decisions across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage Data Use Governance requests through intake, review, approvals, publication, and maintenance.
• Evaluate data use requests for governance, security, privacy, regulatory, and risk requirements.
• Document business purpose, requirements, users, workflows, and outcomes.
• Review data elements, sources, transformations, delivery methods, and flows.
• Coordinate reviews with Data Owners, Data Custodians, Risk, Security, and other stakeholders.
• Resolve incomplete or noncompliant requests while maintaining governance records.
• Support metadata management, catalogs, lineage, dictionaries, and registry records.
• Prioritize concurrent requests based on impact, risk, and dependencies.
• Identify unauthorized or legacy data use and drive remediation actions.
• Support audits and governance reporting and continuous improvement.
