Job summary
HCLTech is seeking a Senior Technical Lead – Data Engineering to lead data engineering initiatives and guide teams in building scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks. You will design data models, optimize ETL/ELT processes, and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
The role requires hands-on expertise in cloud data platforms, strong SQL skills, and experience in Agile environments.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate/Associate degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related technical field
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake including data modeling and performance optimization
- Proven expertise with Azure Data Factory for data integration, ETL/ELT and orchestration
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks for data processing and analytics workloads
- Strong SQL and data engineering skills with large datasets
- Experience in designing, developing and optimizing complex data pipelines
- Excellent communication and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience in Agile environments and collaboration with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Lead and provide technical direction to data engineering teams
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting analytics
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Snowflake
- Design data models in Snowflake and optimize queries and performance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions
- Mentor team members and promote best practices in data engineering
