Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to own the data foundation for the Medicare revenue engine. You will build and operate pipelines, ensure data quality and lineage, and partner with Finance, Actuarial, and Modeling teams.

The role requires 8+ years in data engineering and 4+ years in healthcare data, with production Databricks/Spark, PySpark, Python, and SQL expertise. On-site in Nashville, with strong PHI/HIPAA controls.

Qualifications

8+ years in data engineering.
4+ years of healthcare data experience: claims, encounters, eligibility, provider, clinical sources.
4+ years of production experience with Databricks/Spark (PySpark), Python, SQL.
Experience supporting risk-adjustment, actuarial, or finance workloads.
Strong understanding of PHI, HIPAA, and controls for revenue and CMS data.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate data pipelines feeding the Medicare revenue projection model.
Ingest, normalize, and reconcile claims/enrollments, eligibility, EMR extracts, CMS artifacts.
Map/maintain HCC/ICD-10, versioning, and year constructs for modelers.
Own data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and snapshot processes for accruals and audits.
Collaborate with Databricks lakehouse standards: Spark, PySpark, orchestration, CI/CD, access control.
Provide trusted datasets to Modeling, Finance, Actuarial, Revenue Integrity.
