Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking an experienced data engineer to own the Medicare revenue data foundation. You will design, build, and operate data pipelines and analytic tables that power revenue projections, ingesting claims, eligibility, and CMS artifacts.

You will ensure data quality, lineage, and auditability while collaborating with Finance, Actuarial, and Modeling teams. The role requires 8+ years in data engineering, 4+ years in healthcare data, and strong Databricks/Spark (PySpark),

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering.
• 4+ years of healthcare data experience (claims, encounters, eligibility, clinical sources).
• 4+ years production experience with Databricks/Spark (PySpark), Python, SQL; ELT patterns.
• Understanding PHI, HIPAA, and controls for revenue/CMS data.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data pipelines and analytic tables for Medicare revenue projections.
• Ingest, normalize, and reconcile claims/encounters, eligibility, EMR/chart extracts, and CMS artifacts.
• Implement HCC/ICD-10 mapping and versioning to stabilize model inputs.
• Own data quality, lineage, reconciliation, and snapshot processes for accruals and audits.
• Partner with enterprise data/IT on Databricks lakehouse standards (Spark/PySpark, CI/CD, access).
• Provide trusted datasets to Modeling, Finance, Actuarial, and Revenue Integrity.
• Define SLAs for freshness; monitor drift and source changes affecting forecasts.
• Lead and mentor data engineers; set practices for a regulated environment.
• Support modular outputs to evolve the engine without reworking the warehouse.
