Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking an experienced data engineer to own the Medicare revenue data foundation. You will design, build, and operate pipelines feeding a Medicare projection model with member-month and diagnosis history, ensuring timeliness and auditability.

You will work with Databricks/Spark, Python, and SQL in a regulated environment, institute data quality controls, and mentor a team of engineers while partnering with Finance, Actuarial, and Revenue Integrity to support revenue

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering.
• 4+ years healthcare data experience: claims, encounters, eligibility, and clinical sources.
• 4+ years hands-on Databricks/Spark (PySpark), Python, SQL; ELT, orchestration & data quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the data pipelines and analytic tables for the Medicare revenue projection model.
• Ingest, normalize, and reconcile claims/encounters, eligibility, EMR/chart extracts, and CMS artifacts.
• Implement HCC / ICD-10 mapping and versioning for model accuracy.
• Own data quality, lineage, and snapshot processes for accruals and audits.
• Partner with Databricks lakehouse standards: Spark, orchestration, CI/CD, access control.
• Provide trusted datasets to Modeling, Finance, Actuarial, and Revenue Integrity.
• Define SLAs for freshness; monitor drift and source-system changes.
• Lead and mentor data engineers; apply engineering practices for a regulated environment.
• Support modular outputs for revenue, membership, and other items.
