Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking an experienced data engineer to own the Medicare revenue data foundation. You will design and operate data pipelines and analytic tables, ensuring timely, complete, and auditable data for Finance forecasting.

You will work with Databricks lakehouse, PySpark, Python and SQL, set data quality standards, and mentor a team of engineers in a regulated environment. This full-time role is based in Tallahassee, FL.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering.
• 4+ years of healthcare data experience (claims, encounters, eligibility, provider, clinical/chart sources).
• 4+ years of production experience with Databricks/Spark (PySpark), Python, SQL and Lakehouse/ELT patterns; orchestration (Airflow) and data-quality frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data pipelines and analytic tables feeding the Medicare revenue projection model.
• Ingest, normalize, and reconcile claims/encounters, eligibility/enrollment, EMR/chart extracts, vendor/program files, and CMS artifacts.
• Implement HCC/ICD-10 mapping, model-year versioning, and diagnosis-year vs. payment-year constructs.
• Own data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and snapshot/freeze processes for accruals, AtoE, and audit.
• Partner with enterprise data/IT on Databricks lakehouse standards: Spark/PySpark, orchestration, CI/CD, access control, and cost/performance.
• Provide trusted, documented datasets to Modeling, Finance, Actuarial, and Revenue Integrity.
• Define SLAs for freshness and completeness; monitor drift and source-system changes.
• Lead and mentor data engineers; set engineering practices for regulated environment.
• Support modular outputs to evolve the engine without rewriting the warehouse.
