Job summary

Meso Scale Diagnostics, LLC. is seeking a data engineer to organize and manage data across enterprise systems, building pipelines from MES, ERP, PLM, SCADA, and quality systems to support the Digital Thread.

You will design reusable data products, implement governance, and collaborate with data architects, integration engineers, and analysts to deliver secure, reliable data platforms in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related science/engineering. Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop data pipelines from multiple sources (MES, ERP, PLM, SCADA/historian, quality systems) to support the Digital Thread.
• Create and maintain metadata, data structures, and mappings aligned to business needs.
• Design domain-oriented data products with data mesh concepts, including ownership, SLAs, and discoverability.
• Collaborate with data architects, application engineers, and analysts to deliver content securely and timely.
• Manage life cycle of ETL/ELT deployments with Git, automated tests, CI/CD, and IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Partner with operations, quality, and supply chain to deliver analytics on OEE, yield, throughput, and traceability.
• Prepare AI/ML-ready datasets with feature pipelines, versioning, and curated knowledge sources for RAG and predictive analytics.
