Job summary

Midland Industries seeks a Data Engineer/Data Analyst to design, build, and maintain a cloud-based data ecosystem that delivers high-value analytics, reporting, and insights across the data lifecycle.

You will design cloud data warehouses (Azure Synapse) and ETL/ELT pipelines, model data for analytics, and create dashboards with Power BI/Tableau/Looker while collaborating with business stakeholders to advance data strategy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, ETL development, and data modeling.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environments preferred.
• Experience supporting process improvement or operational transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and configure cloud data warehouses and storage environments (e.g., Azure Synapse).
• Develop, test, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, or similar tools.
• Architect and implement dimensional models, data marts, and data cubes.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across pipelines and data structures.
• Create clear documentation for data systems, pipelines, and processes.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate analytics needs into technical solutions.
• Support evolution of data strategy with automation and optimization ideas.
• Contribute to a scalable, modern data ecosystem for business users.
