Job summary

Synechron seeks an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to define target-state architecture and data-product patterns for a complex financial-services data environment. You will translate stored procedures into reusable patterns and coordinate across domains to enable domain ownership without owning data.

The role requires expertise in data mesh, lakehouse platforms, and medallion architecture (Databricks Unity Catalog, Delta, Snowflake, Kafka, Airflow, ADLS Gen2).

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data architecture
• 5+ years at enterprise or principal level in financial services
• Genuine data mesh / data-product architecture delivery
• Deep lakehouse and medallion architecture with Databricks Unity Catalog, Delta, Snowflake, Kafka, Airflow, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
• Reference and master data architecture (MDM)
• SQL Server and T-SQL depth to reason about stored-procedure decomposition
• TOGAF 9/10 certified; ArchiMate or C4 modelling in production
• Experience with governance and catalog tooling (Solidatus, Unity Catalog, Purview, Collibra, Alation, Securiti.ai, Anomalo)

Responsibilities

• Interpret the stored-procedure landscape architecturally and split responsibilities across domains and medallion layers
• Define one reusable target pattern per MCDB feature class (operational UI, stage, refdata, extract, enterprise model, MDM, sub-ledger, risk assets)
• Create a pattern-assignment matrix mapping each inventory item to a pattern
• Develop the target-state conceptual architecture (source-aligned data products, federated governance, self-serve platform, catalogue)
• Define medallion mapping for each pattern
• Specify output-port design to enable contract-governed subscriptions
• Produce the complexity, risk and dependency assessment and sequenced roadmap
• Deliverables: architecture pattern catalogue, pattern-assignment matrix, target-state architecture, risk/dep assessment and roadmap
