Job summary

Xometry is seeking a Staff Data Engineer in Denver to design and own scalable data architectures for enterprise systems. You will build bidirectional data pipelines for partner integrations, including Teamcenter and Designcenter, while defining the joint data model for parts, BOMs, quotes and manufacturability signals.

You will lead low-latency data paths, governance, and observability, and set standards for data modeling, CI/CD, testing, and schema evolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent experience with 5+ years in data engineering.
• Expert SQL and strong Python proficiency; ability to add languages as needed.
• Hands-on experience building and optimizing pipelines, architectures, and datasets with modern tooling (dbt, Airbyte, Airflow).
• Enterprise data architecture across multiple systems and domains, including partner integrations.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred) and data governance/observability tooling.
• Experience with batch and streaming processing (Kafka, Spark, Kinesis) and data stores (Iceberg).

Responsibilities

• Design and drive enterprise data solutions with technical ownership across systems.
• Own partner integration data plane for embedded DFM AI + IQE integrations.
• Architect data pipelines for Teamcenter and Designcenter integrations.
• Define data models for parts, BOMs, quotes, and manufacturability signals.
• Deliver low-latency data paths and feedback to designer environments.
• Establish governance, lineage, and audit posture for partner data flows.
• Build scalable batch and streaming pipelines and platforms for high-volume data.
• Support real-time/event-driven flows critical to partner integrations.
• Mentor through reviews and set engineering standards for data modeling and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partner engineering groups.
