Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design and run scalable data pipelines across batch and streaming workloads, integrating Snowflake with dbt AI capabilities.

You will mentor a data engineer, guide analytics teams, and shape governance while evaluating Azure/AWS data tools to optimize data flow. The role emphasizes secure, scalable data products in a hybrid cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, information systems, data engineering.
• Five or more years of dedicated data engineering experience building production-grade data pipelines.
• Advanced Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven data movement from on-premises and cloud sources.
• Core developer for Snowflake data platform; supports performance, data modeling, and storage structures.
• Architects and builds transformation pipelines delivering high-quality inputs to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Designs semantic layers and metadata models to support Self-Service 2.0 interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, templates, and CI/CD practices enabling decentralized teams to build data products safely.
