Job summary

Hunter Industries is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain enterprise data systems and pipelines that enable the organization to leverage data as a strategic asset.

The role offers onsite or hybrid work (3 days in the office) at our San Marcos, CA campus, with a focus on Snowflake, Power BI, and governance to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases. You will mentor engineers and drive data initiatives across the Data & Analytics team.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in data engineering, data integration, and optimization.
• Experience with Snowflake enterprise-scale data solutions and Power BI as primary reporting layer.
• Experience integrating Oracle Fusion (ERP/EPM) and other on-prem/cloud apps.
• Migration of data from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms with mapping and validation.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and optimizes data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Integrates structured and semi-structured data from Oracle Fusion, on-premise databases, and cloud apps into Snowflake.
• Applies data cleansing and quality controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trust in enterprise data.
• Monitors pipelines and storage for scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implements governance, security, and compliance per enterprise standards.
• Collaborates with architects, analysts, and data scientists to support Power BI analytics, AI/ML, and self-service use cases.
