Job summary

Riot Games seeks a Principal Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and models powering central product insights. You will collaborate with product managers, analysts, and engineers to ensure reliable, performant data infrastructure that informs player experiences.

You will mentor data engineers, optimize query performance, and adopt new tools while aligning with GDPR/CCPA governance and cost-conscious practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/IS/Engineering.
• 8+ years in tech-focused Publishing or Marketing.
• 8+ years in data engineering.
• Expertise in big-data technologies (Python, GoLang, Spark, Scala, SQL).
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.
• Design and implement scalable data models across in- and out-of-game experiences.
• Architect robust, high-performance data solutions and monitor data quality.
