Sedgwick in Iowa seeks a Sr. Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines, supporting batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven movement from on-premises to cloud sources, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake, dbt, and data sharing.

You will mentor one data engineer, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive adoption of best practices, CI/CD, and secure data governance to enable AI-ready data products across the organization.

Formación

• Five or more years of dedicated data engineering experience with production-grade pipelines.
• Advanced hands-on Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing.
• Experience moving data across hybrid on-premises to cloud environments using batch, streaming, and event-driven patterns.

Responsabilidades

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven movement.
• Core developer for Snowflake-based data platform; supports performance, modeling, and storage structures.
• Architects and builds transformation pipelines delivering high-quality data inputs to Snowflake and dbt features.
• Maintains semantic layers and metadata models to support Self-Service 2.0 NLP interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, templates, and CI/CD practices for decentralized teams.
• Provides direct mentoring to one data engineer with potential team growth.
