Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design and manage scalable data pipelines across on-premises and cloud sources, while acting as a core Snowflake developer to improve performance, data sharing, and data modeling.

You will help build semantic layers for AI-enabled analytics and establish reference architectures with CI/CD practices. Remote-friendly role with national scope for US operations.

Qualifications

• Five (5)+ years of dedicated data engineering experience with production pipelines.
• Advanced hands-on Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing.
• Experience moving data across hybrid environments (on-prem to cloud).
• Experience building semantic layers for AI, LLM, or natural-language search.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, streaming, and event-driven data.
• Core developer for Snowflake data platform; support performance and storage structures.
• Architects transformation pipelines delivering data to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Designs semantic layers and metadata models to support Self-Service 2.0 interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, templates, and CI/CD practices for safe data products.
• Mentors one data engineer and guides analysts in engineering practices.
• Drives dbt adoption and evaluates AWS/Azure tools to optimize data flow.
